CURVING EDGES BOAT HOUSE | FORD LAKE
Creating a rowing center and a recreational area. The boat house sits on a spot near an existing parking lot, boat launch, and amazing water view. The boat house is shaped like a path, a curvy path connecting multiple spaces. I wanted a design that shows the beauty of wandering and finding. The clear paths take the pedestrians to the boat house, but people can take any path and find the boathouse center on the edge of the site. It is a recreational center that is open to the public and not only used as a rowing center. The boat storage and launch are in the first half of the building, where the boat storage is on a lower level than the rest of the building to make the boat movement easier. Curving Edges boat house has a café, gym, and two outdoor multi-use spaces.
